New specific tests applicable to PE100 RC, compounds and pipes
Following the approval of standards series EN 1555, for Polyethylene (PE) piping systems for the supply of gaseous fuels, which introduces the PE 100 RC, material with enhanced resistance to crack growth, and anticipating the imminent revision of standard series EN 1220, for Polyethylene (PE) piping systems for water supply, which also introduces the same PE grade, we are pleased to offer our services to perform the necessary tests to evaluate these new materials, in particular:
- Accelerated Notched Pipe Test (ANPT), determination of resistance to crack propagation, according to ISO 13479 (Pipe DN 110 SDR 11)
- Accelerated Full Notch Creep Test (AFNCT), determination of environmental stress cracking, according to ISO 16770 (Compression moulded sheet made from granulate)
- Strain-Hardening Test (SHT) according to ISO 18488 (Compression moulded sheet made from granulate/regrind from pipe)
- Cracked Round Bar Test (CRBT), determination of resistance to slow crack growth under cyclic loading, according to ISO 18489 (Compression moulded sheet made from granulate/regrind from pipe (e≤16mm) or machined from pipe (e>16 mm)
In addition to the management of these tests, CEIS collaborates with different certification bodies in the development of the corresponding specifications.
