Thermal insulation materials

Thermal insulation products play a fundamental role in the energy efficiency of buildings, and climate control installations and in industry. Proper installation of the right level of insulation minimises heat losses from housing, buildings equipment and industrial facilities.

The insulating products must be marketed with the mandatory CE marking according to the Construction Products Regulation.

Among the thermal insulation materials that we analyse, we find the following:

Mineral Wool (EN 13162 / EN 14303 / EN 14064-1)
Expanded polystyrene (EPS) (EN 13163 / EN 14309 / EN 14933)
Extruded polystyrene (XPS) (EN 13164 / EN 14307 / EN 14934)
Polyurethane (EN 13165 / EN 14315-1 / EN 14316-1 / EN 14317-1 / EN 14318-1 /EN 14319-1 / EN 14308)

CEIS is a Notified Body number 1722 for conducting initial product type tests for CE Marking in accordance with the Construction Products Regulation (EU) 305/2011 (Technical Annex of Scope).

CEIS is recognised as a reference laboratory for awarding and monitoring AENOR’S N Mark for thermal insulation materials.

It is also a Keymark “Registered Laboratory”.
