This set of tests verifies the ability of tube systems for electrical ducting to withstand certain weather and atmospheric conditions during the time the installation is in service.

Test methods

Several test methods are employed:

• Degree of protection of the enclosure: The IP rating of the pipe system in regard to liquids and solids entering according to IEC 60529 is determined.
• Resistance to corrosion: This is applicable to metal and compound pipes according to the manufacturer's rating, consisting of applying different acidic solutions and solvents to it.
