Characterisation Electrical shunts

11-02-2013 | news

“In 2012, Gas Natural Fenosa came up with a research project for the product “Electrical shunts” in order to ensure the continuity of supply and ensure the conformity of underground electrical installations.

This survey responds to the needs submitted by the Standardisation, Maintenance and Supply Directorates.

The project covers three technologies:

  • Drilling.
  • Heat shrinkable.
  • Resin.

Tipo Perforación

Tipo Resina

Tipo Termoretractil

In this project, all the models are analysed under different laboratory conditions and actual installation conditions, with three aims:

  1. To ensure the conformity of the product.
  2. To improve the installation procedure and the acceptance of works.
  3. To identify areas for improvement leading to energy saving or proposals to update the existing regulations.

In this respect, ceis presented before Gas Natural Fenosa the first results and findings of the project last 2013-01-28.

The results and findings have revealed the current situation of the installations, and in view of the above, it was decided to take different actions for improvement.
