PLASTIC
MATERIALS

The ceis Plastics Materials Laboratory assesses the characteristics of manufactured plastics products and their raw materials (PE, PP, PVC, PE-X, PVC-C, PB, etc.)

The materials which the laboratory habitually works with are, among others:

• Plastic pipes.
• Plastic fittings.
• Sheets for waterproofing.
• PVC profiles for doors and windows.
• Films and bags for containers and packaging.
• Raw materials.

The laboratory carries out extensive types of testing. Of note are thermal cycle test and determination of resistance to rapid crack propagation testing in thermoplastic pipes.

The aim of the laboratory is to respond to the need for improvements to and quality assessment of plastic materials, in addition to providing with information on compliance with specifications for the granting of certification mark for these products.

Among our customers are manufacturers, installers and buyers who need to assess plastic products.

THE PLASTICS MATERIALS LABORATORY PROVIDES ITS CUSTOMERS WITH: 

• Recognition: The laboratory is highly recognised nationally and internationally and made up of professional experts who are part of European technical committees and the most representative associations of the sector.
• Synergies: Working with this laboratory, our customers can complement their specific tests with tests from other areas of expertise such as acoustic testing on plastic materials, radiant floor, etc.
• Reliable results: Our customers obtain results whose reliability is accredited by ENAC (file 1/LE991).
• Reference laboratory: the ceis Plastics Materials Laboratory is the reference laboratory for obtaining certification mark.
