ceis Electrical Material Laboratory has over 40 years’ experience in testing low voltage electrical materials.

The laboratory offers technical consultancy services to manufacturers and buyers, in addition to testing diverse electrical materials for domestic and industrial installations.

The type of testing undertaken by the laboratory is extensive and focuses on the electrical safety of a wide variety of products, specifically:

• PCW (Power Control Switch).
• AMS (Automatic Magnetothermic Switch).
• ADS (Automatic Differential Switch).
• All types of casings and boxes for electrical installations.
• Rods and seats for electrical safety.
• Personal Protection Equipment such as work clothes, insulated gloves.
• Low voltage fuses.
• Piping for installations and cable ducting systems.
• Ground rods.
• Cable ducting and trays.
• Edison screw bulbs.
• Tapping pins and bases.
• Multiple bases.
• Extension flexes (bases and plugs).
• All types of switches for fixed installations, such as:
• Switches for flexible cables.
• Electronic switches.
• Time switches.
• Micro-switches.
• Remote control switches.
• Cable fixing flanges.
• Closing relays.

The aim of the laboratory is to respond to the need for improvements to and quality assessment of low voltage materials, in addition to providing (Spanish Association for Standardisation and Certification) with information on compliance with specifications for the granting of certification markfor these products.

• Reference laboratory: The ceis electrical materials laboratory is the reference laboratory for obtaining certification mark.
• The laboratory is notified by the Ministry of Industry for carrying out tests aimed at obtaining CE marking for low voltage products in accordance with 73/23/EEC Directive modified by 93/68/EEC.
