New energy saving method development for air conditioning

28-04-2015 | Efficiency tests | news

The Energy Performance R&D Department of CEIS -Center of testing, Innovation and Services which aims to provide conformity assessment, testing and innovation projects-, has established a very novel calculation method to estimate the electrical power saving over a year, by using an inverter-control air conditioners vs non-inverter/fixed speed air conditioners. The developed method has been used by ASKEMO Cooling and Heating, air conditioning business importer, established in Jordan. The objective was to demonstrate to the Jordanian Administration Authorities that, the ASKEMO imported devices achieved at least 20% electrical energy savings, in the same thermal-load conditions, and using both European Ecodesign Regulation and ISO Standards requirements applicable to these devices.

The calculation has finally reached the 40% saving, which will bring the considerable import duty&tax saving to ASKEMO Co. products.
